Under direct supervision, is responsible for assisting Journeyman Electrician and Master Electrician in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems including lighting systems, power distribution systems, ballasts, switches, electrical receptacles, conduits, and cables involving voltages from 120 volts to 480 volts.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EQUIPMENT & OTHER: Basic ability to understand documents, define problems and draw valid conclusions. Requires knowledge and skill in the use of forklifts, scissor lifts, and hand and power tools required in the related trade. Required to work overtime on both a scheduled and an emergency basis. Subject to after-hours recall. English language skills required. Must be able to use a computer for access to company website, database, education, and email exchange.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Active driver’s license required at time of hire. Driver’s license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to operate one or more company vehicles. Employee must maintain a driving record which meets the standards of the company insurance policy. Subject to company needs, employee may be required to obtain OSHA 10hr Safety Certification and maintain current certification as a condition of continued employment.

Install, repair, troubleshoot, all types of electrical systems including circuits, lighting, emergency generators, transfer switches, programmable lighting systems, data cables, conduits, circuit breakers, panel boards, switches, and motor starters involving voltages from 120 volts to 480 volts. Installs, repairs, maintains energy conservation upgrades including: lighting fixture retrofits, occupancy sensors, lighting control systems, variable frequency drives, dimming panels, and building automation systems. Inspects contracted projects to insure compliance with all company quality standards, safety practices, policies, and procedures. Attends construction meetings as needed. Perform electrical repairs and maintenance as needed. Assist other trades as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
